It is with the help of rescued dogs, accompanied by trained instructors, using our award-winning curriculum, that our lessons literally "come to life."Our Proven Effective Compassion Education & Violence Intervention curriculum teaches that our past does not define us, how to overcome bullying, abuse, & other life challenges.
Our Misson
Healing Species is the only program in the world rescuing dogs of "last resort," rehabilitating them as ambassador classroom dogs for our award-winning, nationally recognized, Compassion Education and Violence Intervention program. Dogs not suitable for this work are either adopted into loving homes or may live out their lives at our Sanctuary if needed.
