Jacob and his brother were living their young life on short chains which became so embedded that surgery was required to remove them. After weeks at the vet, the young pups began to respond to love and care from humans. The first months of their new life without pain and suffering was spent with foster care and the brothers eventually came to live at the Healing Species Sanctuary. Some months ago, Elija got his forever home but Jacob is still waiting. Jacob is a sweet boy, very healthy, good energy but not hyper and still a little shy. Given a loving, understanding home, he will make a great companion. He likes other dogs, loves to play outside and is very responsive and willing. His forever family will need patience and understanding, but Jacob will meet you more than half way!
