What We Do

Healing Species is the only program in the world rescuing dogs of "last resort," rehabilitating them as ambassador classroom dogs for our award winning, nationally recognized, Compassion Education and Violence Intervention program. Dogs not suitable for this work are either adopted into loving homes or may live out their lives at our Sanctuary if needed.
